Harnessing the energy and excitement of today’s new country is Byron James, creator and host of Canada’s most innovative new television show, Roadhouse. A little eccentric, a bit off the wall and well connected to Canada’s country music industry, Byron James uncovers stuff from new country artists that today’s audience wants to know.

"This ain’t your mama’s country" is the anthem that sets the tone for Roadhouse. Byron and the crew travel the country in the Roadhouse Rig. The only one of its kind in North America, the Roadhouse Rig is a 38-foot custom designed stretch limo complete with a 42 inch television screen and comfortably accommodates 25. The Roadhouse Rig serves as headquarters for the show.

Roadhouse completed the first of twenty-two episodes on a highly successful trip through Alberta, which included the CCMA Awards in Edmonton 2004. With stops at nightclubs, radio stations and unique side trips, Roadhouse left an indelible mark on country fans throughout the province.
