KELLY BROCK'S LATEST CD REBEL KIND NOW AVAILABLE AT HMV AND CD PLUS STORES

West-Coast Country Singer/Song-Writer, Kelly Brock’s new single, “Be My Angel” is the first ballad to be released off of her critically-acclaimed CD, Rebel Kind. The song features back-ground vocals by Barry Mathers of The Cruzeros and studio performances by well-respected Nashville pedal steel player, Wayne Addleman (Sara Evans, Trace Adkins) and guitarist, Russ Pahl (Big and Rich). The track has a positive and up-lifting feel to it musically and the vocal performance is warm and soulful.

Brock’s past singles, “Cowboy Boots and Levis”, “Rebel Kind” and “Wake Up’ have been very well-received at country radio across the nation. With four recent nominations for the BCCMA awards (Best Female Vocalist, Album of the Year, SOCAN Songwriter of the Year and Single of the Year), Kelly’s latest CD is starting to get some serious attention from the industry. So far the new CD has been critically acclaimed and has received excellent reviews including a “B” rating from John McLaughlin at the Vancouver Province, 4 out of 5 stars from TV Week and a very positive review from Ottawa’s influential Country Music News Magazine.

As a song-writer, many of Kelly’s songs have been featured in a variety of film and television programs, including Smallville, Dawson’s Creek, Joan of Arcadia, The Surreal Gourmet, The Chris Isaak Show and others. Brock’s past radio singles and music videos have also seen rotation on many Canadian Country and A/C radio stations along with MuchMoreMusic and CMT Canada. Along with writing and recording her own material, Brock has also has had the pleasure of working with many of her musical peers including recording artists Barney Bentall, Dustin Bentall and Barry Mathers of The Cruzeros who all contributed back-ground vocals on her new CD, Rebel Kind. She also recently played at Campground C’s Country-Rock Festival in Whistler, BC along with Spirit of the West, Aaron Pritchett, The Cruzeros and Damian Marshall and has worked in the studio with Chad Kroeger (Nickelback), Brian Howes (Hinder, Avril Lavigne, Hedley) and Mike Reno. Brock also sings back-ups in concert with Loverboy and will be featured in their up and coming live concert DVD release.
